Liberty Court Recorder V5.0

July 3, 2007

High Criteria Inc. Announces the Immediate Availability of Liberty Court Recorder Version 5.0.

High Criteria Inc, a world leader in computer audio recording systems, today announced the immediate availability of an updated version of the Liberty Court Recording system for recording courtroom and other legal proceedings. The Liberty Court Recorder is a digital recording application that runs on a PC or laptop and records multiple audio channels directly to the computer hard-drive.

The Liberty System offers an economical alternative for those wanting to move away from tape systems such as the Sony BM 246 and incorporate the benefits of a digital audio recording system into the courtroom.

Enhancements in this release include:

  • The ability to restore pre-defined bookmarks, if a case is stood down.
  • When searching for text in DCR files, you can search files and docket-specific fields, search by date or a date range, search for an exact phrase, specify a list of folders to search, use a phonetic algorithm, and other enhancements. The search results are displayed as a list of files and a list of dockets.
  • Date and time can be included on each video frame.
  • Additional data, such as the user that made the recording, the product version, and other product information can be displayed as part of a file's properties.
  • A confirmation alert can be issued when you try to create a new file and another file is already open.
  • In the Liberty Player, Export the audio data from a DCR file directly to an audio CD. Previously, you would need to convert the DCR file into a WAV file and then use CD-burning software to write the data to a CD. To avoid creating a very large file and to facilitate playback, you can have the file automatically split based on bookmarks or file size (in minutes).
  • And a range of other features including reliability and availability enhancements were introduced.

Version 5.0 of both the Liberty Recorder and the no-cost Player are immediately available. The Player program may be downloaded from the Liberty web site at www.LibertyRecording.com.

Portable configurations suitable for use with a laptop computer are also available.

The Liberty Recording system is available through local re-sellers in the United States such as JCG Technologies of Scottsdale Arizona (www.JCGTechnologies.com), Loffler Business Systems of Minnesota (www.Loffler.com), BIS Digital Systems (www.BISDigital.com) and Audio Data Systems Inc (www.audasy.com) and directly through High Criteria Inc.
