Capturing Debug Information

If you experience an issue with any program, Liberty Support may ask you to provide debug information. This helps us review what happened and diagnose the problem more quickly.

When contacting support, please include:

  • A clear description of the issue
  • The approximate date and time the issue occurred
  • The steps you were taking when the issue happened
  • Whether the issue can be reproduced
  • Any debug files requested by Liberty Support

If the issue occurred within the last several hours, or if you are able to reproduce it, please create the following two debug files from within the program:

  1. A general trace information file
  2. A system information file

Open the Debug Window

In the program, go to: Help > Debug

This will open the Debug window.

Create the General Trace File

In the Debug window, check the box labeled: "Store General trace information in file". Before continuing, note the folder location where the trace file will be saved. You will need to return to this folder later to retrieve the file.

Click Apply to begin creating the trace file.

Create the System Information File

Next, click the button labeled: "Create file with SYSTEM information"

Again, note the folder location where the system information file will be saved. You will need this location so you can retrieve the file after it has been created.

Send the Debug Files to Liberty Support

After both files have been created, place them together in a single compressed ZIP folder.

Email the ZIP folder to: support@LibertyRecording.com

Please include a complete description of the issue in your email, along with the approximate time the problem occurred.
