Permanent App Download, Installation and Settings for the Liberty Virtual Courtroom
While the courts will create links and phone codes for temporary users attending virtual court hearings, other participants who are engaged with the court on an ongoing basis can be considered permanent users and may be provided with long-term access to the virtual court.
Permanent users must install the Liberty Virtual Courtroom app onto their computer.
Both temporary and permanent iOS and Android users must install the Liberty Virtual Courtroom app before attempting to access the courtroom. Note that if you have received a temporary link and want to use an iOS or Android device to access the virtual court, then you must install the program on your device before you click on the link.
Anyone authorized by the court may download, install and use the Liberty Virtual Courtroom apps at no cost.
Appropriate configuration details must be obtained from the court, before participants can logon to the system.
Permanent App for Windows
Courtroom participants using the permanent Windows app must:
- Use Windows 7 64bit or later.
- Use standard earbuds or a headset and microphone. Any earbuds or headset suitable for conferening will work with the Liberty Virtual Courtroom.
- For the best possible audio, we suggest using earbuds or a headset and that you do not use speakers.
- Use a standard webcam, if video is required by the court.
Downloading, Installing and Configuring the Windows App
Download the Windows App for the Liberty Virtual Courtroom and then "open" the download to install the app.
Prior to configuring the program, you must obtain valid credentials from the court.
Configure your "Connection Profile" settings, as described below.
- Use the desktop icon labelled "Liberty Virtual Courtroom" to start the app.
- From the View drop-down menu, select Options. Note that you may need to first "Log off" the application so that you can change the Option settings.
- Click the Connection Profiles tab and then click the Add button.
- Enter the name of the server, the name or label for this profile, and your user name and password, as shown in the screen below.
Logging On to the System

Click the "Logon" button icon to logon to the default server profile.
If your court operates more than one virtual courtroom, you can select the appropriate courtroom profile during the logon process using the profile drop-down, as shown below.
Permanent App for iOS
If you want to use the Liberty Virtual Courtroom app on an iOS device, you must first download and install the iOS version before clicking on the link to join a Virtual Courtroom hearing. The app requires iOS 11 or later.
Download and install the iOS Liberty Virtual Courtroom app from the iStore onto your iOS device.
If you have been provided with a link to connect to the courtroom, click on that link and the program will start automatically.
If you have been provided with a permanent id and password to access the courtroom, then you must configure the program as described below.
Start the program and click on the three dots (. . .) in the upper-left corner.
Then, from the drop-down menu, select Options.
In the Settings, select Servers.
Click the + sign to add your settings.
Enter your Server settings, as provided by the court, and click Save.
You can now return to the main program Window and click the Logon button when you are ready to logon to the courtroom.
Permanent App for Android
If you want to use the Liberty Virtual Courtroom program on an Android device, then you must first download and install the Android version of the app before clicking on the link to join a Virtual Courtroom hearing.
The program requires Android System Version 5 or later.
Download and install the Android Liberty Virtual Courtroom app from the Google Playstore.
If you have been provided with a link to connect to the courtroom, click on that link and the program will start automatically.
If you have been provided with a permanent id and password to access the courtroom, then you must configure the program as described below.
Start the program and click on the Settings button in the upper-right corner.
Select Servers
Click the + sign to add your server.
Enter your Server settings, as provided by the court, and click OK.
You must now return to the main program Window and click the Logon button when you are ready to logon to the courtroom.
